South Orange County Chili Cook Off
When: Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 11am - 3pm
Location: Laguna Niguel Regional Park, 28241 La Paz Rd, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677.
*OC Parks charges $5 for parking. Additional parking may be available at La Paz Sports Park, 28051 La Paz Rd, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 or at Mission Lutheran Church, 24360 Yosemite Rd, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677.
Guidelines (subject to change)
- Teams are required to cook 10 gallons of chili
- Teams provide their own tables, chairs and cooking setup. Overhead canopies are encouraged but not mandatory.
- Teams are responsible for providing their own cooking utensils, ingredients, and self-contained heating unit (no electricity provided and no generators please).
- Themed booths are encouraged. Bring your decorations, your spirit and imagination!
- We encourage you to bring add-ons for the chili to make your booth pop, toppings, corn bread, crackers or whatever you like on your chili.
- The Chili Committee will provide: sample cups, bowls, napkins and spoons for you to dispense your chili to the crowd
ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT
- Please arrive no earlier than 9:00 am, no later than 10:00 am on the 17nd. Upon arrival contact a Committee member and they will direct you to your space for set-up.
- A short meeting will take place at 10:00 am at the picnic tables at Large Group Shelter. At that time, you can pick up your cups, bowls, etc.
- Since the event begins at 11:00 am, please prepare to have chili hot and ready to go.
- Parking is $5.00. Try to bring as many people in one car as possible. Parking is limited and please follow the direction of the Parking Attendants.
